DAVID PALOMO JOINS SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK AS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
HOUSTON, TX -Sam Houston Race Park has announced the hiring of David Palomo as Director of Marketing. The University of Houston graduate has over ten years of experience in marketing, special events, brand awareness and social media and promotions.
Most recently, Palomo was affiliated with Landry’s Inc. and was instrumental in managing branding and marketing for Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Rusty Pelican, and Mai Tai Bar. His experience in collaboration in the food and beverage industry is key as Sam Houston Race Park’s Winner’s Circle Restaurant and Jockey Club have attracted thousands of patrons who enjoy the combination of dining while watching live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing.
In addition, Palomo had a seven-year association with the Houston Astros, winner of the 2017 and 2022 World Series, facilitating community outreach and driving customer loyalty for the team and their outside events. He continues to be an active member of the University of Houston Alumni Association.
Palomo will oversee marketing, group sales, sponsorship and public relations for the northwest Houston destination, which opened as the first Class 1 racetrack in Texas on April 24, 1994.
