CCA CONCERT FOR CONSERVATION SET TO RETURN TO SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK MAY 19TH
Hank Williams, Jr. Set To Headline!
HOUSTON, TX (February 21st, 2018)— Sam Houston Race Park (www.shrp.com) is excited to announce the return of the 7th Annual CCA Concert for Conservation featuring Hank Williams, Jr. taking The Bud Light Stage with special guest performances by Eddie Money and Molly Hatchet.
After the devastation caused to the greater-Houston area by Hurricane Harvey last August, Sam Houston Race Park was forced to cancel the 6th Annual CCA Concert for Conservation scheduled for September 9th, 2017. Although disappointing, the decision to cancel was made with the best interests of all Houstonians in mind. Thanks to our wonderful partners at CCA Texas, the show is set to return better than ever this year on Saturday, May 19th!
Headlining the event will be the one and only Hank Williams, Jr. A pioneer in southern rock, Hank, Jr. has sold 70 million albums worldwide, including six PLATINUM albums, 20 GOLD albums, 13 No. 1 albums and 10 No. 1 singles. Marking 52 years since his first album in 1964, Hank Jr. released his newest album IT’S ABOUT TIME (Nash Icon Records) on January 15th, 2018.
Joining Hank Williams, Jr. will be 70’s and 80’s rock star, Eddie Money, known for his hits such as “Baby Hold On”, “Take Me Home Tonight”, and “Two Tickets to Paradise.” Rounding out the spectacular lineup will be southern rock band Molly Hatchet known for their hit song “Flirtin’ With Disaster.”
