Sam Houston Race Park provides Accessible Entrances for disabled patrons at the North & South Entrances of The Park. Accessible parking spaces are available in the Main Parking Lot. Accessible Seating will be available for all live racing dates and events. Please call 281-807-8760 with specific questions and to purchase accessible seats.

Sam Houston Race Park is an all-ages venue. The minimum age to place a wager is 21. You must be 21 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Valid State or Federal Goverment issued photo ID for all patrons under the age of 40 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.

Sam Houston Race Park provides patrons with ATM machines located in the Paddock and Club Levels. Guests may withdraw via their checking account up to $500 per transaction from the machine. Withdrawals are available through the use of a debit card only. Credit cards and Federal Credit Unions are not accepted by the machines.

Sam Houston Race Park has ticket box office booths located at the North & South Entrances, which are open for live racing. Tickets can also be purchased during operating hours at the Players Lounge Desk. The box office accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Advance racing tickets are available online (Buy Now) or by calling 281-807-8760.

Winning pari-mutuel tickets and vouchers are valid for one year from the date the ticket and or voucher was purchased or issued. Tickets and or Vouchers can be cashed upon your next visit to Sam Houston Race Park or may be cashed by mail. Please print clearly and send your ticket or voucher with name and address to:

Please send the ticket certified mail or registered mail, return receipt requested and retain a copy of the ticket for your records. I.R.S. regulations require that gambling earnings that exceeds odds of 300 to 1 and pays at least $600 are reportable. When cashing such a ticket we require positive I.D., preferably a picture ID such as a driver’s license and a social security card. Management reserves the right to determine if supporting identification is acceptable.

Media inquiries regarding photos of live racing and racing events need to be coordinated through the Media Relations department. 

Video cameras are not allowed.

Camera Usage Policy
Sam Houston Race Park WILL ALLOW photo cameras into all Events unless otherwise posted. The camera policy for the venue is as follows: Photo cameras must have a lens of less than 4" long, Professional cameras are not allowed. 

Fan Conduct Policy
Anyone exhibiting disruptive or unruly behavior, who is intoxicated, illegally possesses alcohol or other prohibited substances, or who interferes with the ability of others to enjoy the event will be ejected from The Park and subject to arrest.

Sam Houston Race Park will NOT tolerate the following from guests anywhere on property:

• Standing on chairs

• Tailgating

• The distribution of items, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted without written authorization from Management.

Guests entering Sam Houston Race Park may have their image and/or likeness reproduced for promotional and/or publicity purposes. By entering the property you agree to allow such use of your image and/or likeness. Sam Houston Race Park assumes no liability for personal loss; injury, death, property damage or other related harm suffered by participants, spectators, site owners, leasers, or others who may be adversely affected by an event for personal loss; injury, death, property damage or other related harm suffered by participants, spectators, site owners, leasers, or others who may be adversely affected by an event. Furthermore, cancellation of an event due to an act of God, riots, strikes, labor difficulties, epidemics, and any act or order of any public authority or cause, similar or dissimilar, beyond the control of Sam Houston Race Park, reserves the ticket bearer no right to refund or exchange, and Sam Houston Race Park is not obligated to a substitute live racing date.

All wagers must be made in cash. Credit cards are not accepted for wagering in the state of Texas.
