MIDNIGHT BISOU RALLIES TO WIN THE GRADE 3, $300,000 HOUSTON LADIES CLASSIC AT SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK

(Houston, TX) – Mother Nature was much kinder to Houston, Texas than Florida, giving ideal conditions to the contenders in the annual Houston Racing Festival at Sam Houston Race Park. The marquee event of the 2019 Thoroughbred racing season was highlighted by exhilarating performances by Midnight Bisou in the Grade 3, $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic and a record seven wins for trainer Mike Maker in the Grade 3, $200,000 Connally Turf Cup.

HOUSTON, TX— The 2019 Sam Houston Race Park Thoroughbred meet commences Friday, January 25 with all systems go for a very exciting opening weekend. Live cards are set for Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm (Central) and Sunday’s Houston Racing Festival, which begins at 1:15 pm.

As announced on Monday, seven fillies and mares will run in Sunday’s Grade 3, $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic, the richest race of the Sam Houston Race Park Thoroughbred meet.  The mile and one-sixteenth feature will run as the ninth race on Sunday with an approximate post time of 5:58 pm (Central).

HOUSTON, TX – Millionaire Midnight Bisou will begin her 4-year-old campaign as the 3-5 favorite in Sunday’s Grade 3, $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic, the richest race of the Sam Houston Race Park Thoroughbred meet.  Post time is Sunday, January 27 at 1:15 pm (Central) for the Houston Racing Festival which also includes the Grade 3, $200,000 John B. Connally Turf Cup and four additional undercard stakes.

HOUSTON, TX—Nominations have closed for the Grade 3, $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic which will be contested on Sunday, January 27. The mile and one-sixteenth main track feature anchors a rich stakes day on opening weekend of Sam Houston Race Park’s 25th anniversary season. The January 27 card will get underway at 1:00 pm (CT).

HOUSTON, TX— Sam Houston Race Park (www.shrp.com) prepares to kick off its span style="color:black">25th Anniversary Season of Live Racing with the opening of the 2019 Thoroughbred Meet on January 25th.  The Thoroughbred Meet will consist of 32 live racing days spanning from January 25th to March 30th.  The Thoroughbred Meet will once again feature the richest racing day in the state of Texas with the Houston Racing Festival on Sunday, January 27th.

LIVE THOROUGHBRED RACING RETURNS TO SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, 2019

The $1.3 Million Dollar Stakes Program Will Begin with the Houston Racing Festival on Sunday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX - Sam Houston Race Park will kick off its 2019 live racing season on Friday, January 25. The 32-day Thoroughbred meet will continue through Saturday, March 30.  

Officials have announced that Friday and Saturday racing will begin at 7:00 pm (Central) and the Tuesday and Wednesday matinee programs will get underway at 12 noon. Post time for the Houston Racing Festival, which is the premier stakes day of the season on Sunday, January 27, will be 1:00 p.m

GATES OPENING TIME FOR 16TH ANNUAL ZIEGENBOCK MUSIC FESTIVAL DELAYED FROM 11AM TO 1PM DUE TO WEATHER
