Sam Houston Race Park will host the 11th Annual Texas Quarter Horse Association (TQHA) Texas Summer Showdown Series as well as the TQHA Horse Sale and Equine Expo presented by Spring Dodge this Friday, July 24th and Saturday July 25th.  The horse sale and expo which kicks off at 11:00 AM on Friday will feature over 380 American Quarter Horses available for purchase and provides horsemen and the general public a chance to preview the next generation of horse racing competitors. 

This Saturday will feature a special post time of 7:00 PM.  Saturday’s stakes race schedule includes the $408,730 TQHA Sale Futurity (G1), $59,485 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity and the $5,000+ Gulf Coast Paint & Appaloosa Maturity.

And while you’re here enjoy our elaborate Superfecta Buffet available with a Winner’s Circle Dining Package for only $28 per person.  The Superfecta Buffet features Prime Rib, Fried Shrimp, a Baked Potato Bar and a Build Your Own Salad Bar! The desserts featured range from homemade pies, cakes, cookies and our famous Haagen-Dazs® ice cream sundae bar.
