Sam Houston Race Park will host the 11th Annual Texas Quarter Horse Association (TQHA) Texas Summer Showdown Series as well as the TQHA Horse Sale and Equine Expo presented by Spring Dodge this Friday, July 24th and Saturday July 25th.  The horse sale and expo which kicks off at 11:00 AM on Friday will feature over 380 American Quarter Horses available for purchase and provides horsemen and the general public a chance to preview the next generation of horse racing competitors. 

Friday’s stakes race schedule includes the $50,000+ Ancira Ford Classic, $45,000+ Barnmaster Sprint Stakes, $45,000+ Gulf Coast 4 Star Trailer 550 Stakes and the $25,000 Jones Bloodstock Insurance Starter Stakes.

And while you’re here enjoy our elaborate Grande Buffet available with a Winner’s Circle Dining Package for only $35 per person.  The Grande Buffet will include carving stations with a variety of meats, an assortment of homemade salads, creative vegetable sides, enticing entrees and more!
