Each time you visit the track you can earn great rewards, like dinners at the Winner’s Circle, hats, t-shirts, programs and many more! Signing up is FREE and easy – just stop by the Player’s Lounge and in a few minutes you’ll have your new VIP card to start accumulating points! Bring the card every time you visit the track. The more visits you make, the more points you earn. You’ll receive one credit for joining and one credit for each visit to live or simulcast racing. Points are accumulated in your personal attendance account. Soon you’ll be on your way to redeeming betting vouchers, free passes, Sam Houston Race Park merchandise and exclusive promotions! VIP Club members receive their personal card upon enrollment.



VIP Club Rules Are Simple:

  1. Members must be 18 or older and at least 21 to redeem betting vouchers.
  2. Members may not register more than once for a VIP Club Card.
  3. Only one visit per day will be credited.
  4. Points are non transferable or combinable.
  5. Uncredited past visits will not earn retroactive points.
  6. Sam Houston Race Park reserves the right to change, modify or cancel the VIP Club.
  7. Employees of Sam Houston Race Park and any affiliated associations are not eligible.  Horsemen are eligible.
  8. All VIP Club prizes are subject to change and are based on availability.
  9. Members are ONLY allowed to swipe their own card.
  10. Misuse of card or violation of rules will result in termination of membership.
  11. A valid government-issue picture ID is required to open an account.

VIP Club Specials for January 2008: 

Space City Blastoff!
Fans will have a weekly chance to win $500 in the “Space City Blastoff!” contest.  Each week in January, players must select a horse to place 1st – 4th on Monday, 1st – 3rd on Tuesday, 1st – 2nd on Wednesday, and 1st on Thursday in designated simulcast races chosen by SHRP.  On Friday, remaining entrants must choose a winner in a designated SHRP live race.  The contest winner is determined by who selects the highest-priced winner on Friday.

If two or more players tie for the highest price winner, they will split the prize money equally.  If no player completes the five stages successfully, $500 will be carried over to the following week.  Should no winners exist at the end of the month, those who have made it farthest in the contest throughout the month will equally split the carryover pool.

Showvivor Thursdays
The $100 Showvivor handicapping contest is a one day elimination contest where contestants will select one horse per race on Gulfstream races that must “hit the board” i. e. first, second or third.

Contestants will select a horse to “hit the board” in the first race at Gulfstream.  If the contestant’s selection “hits the board”, contestant will then select a horse in the following race to “hit the board” at Gulfstream.  The process continues until one contestant remains or until the last race.  If more than one contestant remains after the last race, they will divide the prize money equally.

MAXXAM Gold Cup Instant Winner Jackpot Drawing – January 26, 2008
Three player’s rewards members will win 20,000 reward points the night of the MAXXAM Gold Cup.  To enter, players must use their membership card and wager on any SHRP live race prior to the running of the 7th race.  No minimum required.

(1) winner will be announced following the 8th, 9th and 10th races.  Contestant must be present to win and must check-in at the Player’s Lounge Front Desk within 5 minutes of being announced.  If winner fails to check-in within 5 minutes, another player’s rewards member will be drawn and announced.  Points will be automatically deposited into the persons player rewards account once they have checked in at the Front Desk of the Players Lounge.

To determine the winner, a report will be run via the D.A.S. System that shows every person in the system that has made a wager on any SHRP live race.  Each person who makes a wager will be assigned a number.  To determine a winner, a random number will be selected using a computer program found online at http://www.random.org/nform.html
Contestants may only win once a day.

Dining Triple Points – all month long! 
Player’s rewards members who dine in the Winner’s Circle Restaurant or Jockey Club will receive 3 points per dollar spent on food & beverage.  Player must present membership card to their server to receive points.  Each night the respective managers will email player’s rewards account numbers with corresponding dollar amounts which will then be manually updated in the D.A.S. system.

 
   

Redeeming Prizes is Easy!

Bonus Opportunities!

2 Bonus Points with a food and beverage purchase at the Finish Line Bar on the Club Level.  The Finish Line Bar is open on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until close.

Just make sure to bring your card along each time you visit the track.  When you’ve reached the number of points needed for a specific prize, stop by the Redemption Kiosk on the first floor of the grandstand.  Once you’ve cashed in, your total is adjusted accordingly and you can start building again with new points toward another prize.

2007 PRIZE LIST

All points will return to ZERO on April 7, 2008.  Prizes must be redeemed by 4/7/08.  Coupons printed on or before 4/7/08 will be accepted until 5/7/08.
