From their first live performance in 1973, to their powerful stage presence today, The Marshall Tucker Band has played countless concert venues around the world and remains a powerful force in the world of music.  After nearly 30 years, The Marshall Tucker Band continues to be played on classic rock and country radio around the world, and they have never stopped touring.

“They called us a Southern rock band, but we have always played everything from country to blues and all things in-between,” said founding member and lead singer Doug Gray.  “We’re still playing all of the classic songs, but we are moving ahead into other styles as well. We’re also playing for a younger audience than we have in the past, perhaps to the kids of the fans we played in front of in the 70’s and 80’s.”

The Marshall Tucker Band has wowed critics and influenced major country acts including Alabama, The Kentucky Headhunters, Confederate Railroad and Travis Tritt with its definitive blend of rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, country, and gospel. Now, thanks to the expanding scope of today’s music, a new generation of fans is learning what the rest of their fans have known for so long—that good music knows no boundaries.  Their hit singles include: “Desert Skies,” “Can’t You See,” “Heard It In a Love Song,” "Fire On The Mountain,” and “Take The Highway,” and have earned the band seven gold and three platinum albums.

Southern rock band Molly Hatchet formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1975, and is widely known for their hit song “Flirtin’ with Disaster.” Their self-titled debut album was released on Epic Records in 1978 and reached multi-platinum status as the band established their reputation of working hard, playing tough and living fast through intense touring with such bands as Aerosmith, Bob Seger, The Rolling Stones and many more.  History was made in 1979 when “Flirtin’ with Disaster” was released.  The band continued touring with an average of 250 live shows per year and like the first album it also achieved multi-platinum status.

“Being a fan of this music means to me that every time I step on that stage I am a representative of the band, both past and present, and I take that very seriously,” commented veteran Molly Hatchet member Shawn Beamer. “I look at this band and know that they have a place in musical history and I want my tenure to be one that lives up to the standards of those who were here before me. I am grateful for the chance to play music that means so much to so many people.”

The band, founded by Dave Hlubek and Steve Holland, shared influences and inspiration with the most well-known act in the Southern rock genre, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Hit singles from Molly Hatchet include “Beatin’ The Odds,” “Gator Country,” “Whiskey Man,” “Fall of the Peacemakers,” “Bounty Hunter” and “Edge of Sundown.”

Today’s band members include Hlubek, Beamer, Bobby Ingram, Phil McCormack, John Galvin and Tim Lindsey.
The 2010 Verizon Wireless Summer Concert series on the Bud Light stage takes place most Saturdays May through August 2010, and features general admission tickets for $15; VIP tickets for $30.
