TQHA Yearling Sale

 

Sam Houston Race Park will host the annual Texas Quarter Horse Association (TQHA) Yearling Sale on Friday, July 25 & Saturday, July 26, 2008. The two-day event is part of the Texas Summer Showdown Weekend at The Park, which is one of the highlights of the American Quarter Horse meeting.

Every summer since the event’s inception in1998, the TQHA hosts the Yearling Sale at The Park. As the number of yearlings that pass through the sales ring increase, so does the purse for the TQHA Sale Futurity, in which sale graduates are eligible to run. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with live racing taking place immediately following the sale. The sale is open to the public.
