Michael Chamberlain, 35, joined Sam Houston Race Park in January 1997 as track announcer. He graduated from Arizona State University in 1994 with a degree in broadcast journalism and served as a reporter for Skyview Metro Networks in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also worked as the track announcer for Phoenix Greyhound Park in Phoenix, Arizona in 1996.
